Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. Two people came in and killed the scientists but spared the children. While making an attempt to escape, I was caught by the remaining scientists and taken away. The screams of my friend echoing behind me as I tried to escape... Such a waste as I became strong and have long forgotten those memories. But side effects came with the experiments they played with. Welcome to Project Positivity!!!!!!! Look, there's so much going on in the world. So much negativity everywhere. It can get overwhelming. So let's ignore it. I'm going to try something. Every day I'll post another chapter, talking about positive things. Reasons to live. Stuff like that. Because this world may be dark, but shutting out the light won't help. And is been through some stuff, but I've had it lucky compared to some. So let's heal together through trying to be positive. Let's try to remind ourselves that dying is so much worse. Because while you don't know what will happen next, who's to say you wouldn't end up being extremely happy in the end. Life has no guarantees. So let's enjoy t while we have it. And let's spread some positivity around. And just saying this now; if you are homophobic, racist, sexist, etc, you are not welcome here. This is a safe environment. Leave your hate somewhere else please. I can't stop you, but I don't want others getting attacked over things they can't control. So let's spread some positivity. Because we all need a friend.
