Phoenix Anderson is living with her brother after her and her mom got into a car accident on an empty highway. It was too late for her mother, but not for her. She gets another chance at life, and this time she intends to keep herself alive. Nix soon begins to find out secrets that her mom and her brother kept from her her whole life, secrets that she'd rather leave undiscovered. Someone is stalking her and putting her in new near-death situations almost every day. She is being told by a complete stranger, both in and out of her dreams, that her life is teetering on the edge of a prophecy. People are starting to believe that Nix is mental, and she begins to realize that the best way to try and survive is to stay out of the spotlight. Her and a group of people like her set off on a journey to find out who they are inside and out. Strange things are going on around them, things that only they are aware of, leaving them as the only candidates to save the world...
