All Avery Golden wanted was a normal life. Family, friends and a home that she could grow up in. When death starts happening all around her she feels the need to run; stray away from any person shes ever laid eyes on. While shes running from everyone around her shes also running towards the person she never thought she'd be with; Sage Abner. Sage is a dark caster unlike Avery and will do anything to make peoples lives hell. Once they meet she realizes that it was no accident, Fate obviously had plans for them. Avery being the stubborn girl she is thinks that she can change Sage from his dark ways but, Sage being the arrogant drifter he is tries to show Avery that he doesn't want to change.
