Since Katerina Gray's Father died in a freak accident, she's been different. She used to be like all other girls. Sluber partys, school dances, and cute dates to Homecoming. But once her father died its like a part of her died too. She's quiet, moody, and distant. Well at least thats how her Mom describes her. She eventually lost all her friends and who would blame them, no one wants to be friends with a zombie. But all that changes when Katerina "Detonates". She's suddenly thrown into a world of powers and great evil, and everything she's ever been told might just be a lie. The Embassy ships her off to The Academy For Unusual Children, where she learns to control and use these abilitys for good. There she meets Isaac, dark, broody and dangerous Isaac, who can't stand Katerina. Katerina will have to defy all odds to stand for what she believes in and take down the man who killed her Father. And decide whether or not she wants to be an Unusual.
