I laughed bitterly, still not turning to face him. "Why? You want to know why I don't bother with my feelings? Because I've seen so many people in my life leave once they find out how pathetic I am on the inside."

Kimberly Winters is a girl many don't know much about. A shy introvert she is, but is known for her straight A's, has a flawless hand with art and was kind to everyone.

At least, that's all Jason Hawkins thought there was to her.

At first glance that's all she'll show you but what Jason learns is that if you put enough care and effort, she'll eventually let you in; even if it was on accident. He finds that under all those layers of timid perfection she was a vulnerable, broken girl who is so scared of showing the world what actually goes on in her head that she doesn't even notice how much it's damaging her.

When she discovers Jason wedging himself in her life, she realizes it's too late. It's time she needs to punish herself by cleaning her mouth with that bar of soap by shutting him out again.

Only Jason finds this as a challenge and he's seen too much to turn back now.
