High School. Alot of people say it's the hardest thing you'll ever do. But they don't know me, or my secret. Imagine your world, but with a few tweaks. Ever since WWI, Heaven and Hell have had to be extra picky about who they let in, because of how little space there is nowadays. Because of this, people's spirits will be trapped in our world. The people who can see them are called Perilists. A Perilist's abilities show when they are one month old, so when you turn one month old, you are brought by your parents for a PT (Perilism Test) to see if you can see ghosts. Most people don't like this, because the children, if they are Perilists, will then be taken to the nearest PTF (Perilist Training Facility). From that day forth, the children are trained to hunt, fight and kill ghosts, until they turn six years and one month old. That's the day when they will be assigned their first haunting to get rid of. If they succeed in killing the ghost, they are sent after more ghost sightings. Where do I fit into all of this? Simple, i'm a perilist, but I didn't get my abilities until my Dad, also a Perilist, died on the job when I was five. Ever since I've been on the run, and now that I'm in High School, it's gonna be a whole lot harder to hide.

After my sister passed so did my mother, she was severely depressed and couldn't take the thought of me leaving her too early. Before she died, she told my father everything about herself and her werewolf roots. She only survived until my dad knew everything, it seemed like that was all that mattered, like she knew she was going to die. I have been taught the ways of my ancestors, werewolf, vampire and witch, slowly so I can absorb it all properly. ------------------------- This story is about me, a young girl, with a lot of issues.
