They growled and turned to me. I tried to go around not wanting to cause a scene. "You know, your not supposed to wear hoods in school." A pack is only as strong as it's alpha, a weak alpha means a weak pack, and no pack can survive with just a Luna or just an alpha. A pack needs both, but when your alpha is a 76 year old, your Luna passed away, and their only child is a girl, things get a little complicated. 76 year old Jed found his mate at 50 years old, the two were only able to have one miracle baby. Jed knows that his pack needs a new alpha and Luna quickly because of his age and his health problems. He knew how hard it was for him to find his mate, and he did not want the same for his daughter. He called an old friend who has a son around the age of his daughter and made a deal with him, train your son to be an alpha and your next generation will be set.... It's a lot more to the story, you just have to read to fine out...I MEAN A LOT. this will be kinda like a part 3 to the full moon, but if you didn't read "FULL MOON"and "THE UNWANTED MATE" you will still be able to understand. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!"
