Ayden Stone is the young and sexy new Math teacher this year at Northern Lights Academy in Michigan. He thought he had it all, the perfect new job, a nice house and car, not to mention a beautiful and attentive fiancée named Gwen. His life seemed perfect to anyone on the outside. But he had many difficulties growing up and at a young age, he learned to keep his past and issues discretely hidden. At least that’s what he thought, until he met Kai and his past soon caught up with him in ways he didn't think it ever would. Kai Fosters is a quiet 18 year old with few close friends and many problems. He struggles to find himself and make his way through his daunting life. He trusts no one because of his dark past, which he fights to keep buried on a daily basis. Kai finds it difficult to open up to others and keeps his troubled life discretely hidden from almost everyone, except for Ayden his teacher and counselor who soon becomes a close confidant. When Ayden and Kai meet, they forge an unlikely friendship and when their worlds collide, they realize that they are more similar than they seem. Ayden and Kai soon discover that discretion is sometimes unattainable when it comes to life and love.

✗ "I'm sorry," I choked, the tears spilling down my cheeks. He shook his head and pulled me closer again. "Don't be sorry, just work on getting better," He said, rubbing calming circles on my back while I cried into his chest. His arms tightened around me and he pressed his lips against the top of my head, making me cry even harder. "I had never meant to hurt anyone. I just wanted to be good enough," I whispered. The guilt weighing heavy on my shoulders. "Briar," He said quietly, "You're so much more than good enough." ✗ Meet Briar Martin. She's popular, rich, smart and pretty, add a perfect boyfriend to that list and her life couldn't be much better, right? Wrong. Briar's life is spiralling out of control, and it feels like no one can see her struggle. No one can help her. At least, that's what she thinks before Tyler Grey walks into her life, turning everything on it's head. Tyler is mysterious, charming, and drop dead gorgeous, but does he have what it takes to save Briar from her downward spiral? And what happens when he's the one who needs saving? Can these two broken people fix each other, and find peace with themselves? Or are some things broken beyond repair?
