I was never normal. From birth the shaman of my village had already determined my fate. I was to be the chosen. Decades the humans that dwell at the base of the volcano gave one woman to the Dragon, who in turn promised our safety from the molten lava threatening to spew from the mouth of the mount. I was to be that woman.
