At birth, a necklace is given to each and every single child, each one being half a unique shape for every individual, and is to be worn forever until they meet their soul mate, whom possess the other half of the unique shape. The closer your soul mate is, the warmer your necklace will become. The further your soul mate is, the colder your necklace will be. However, when you remove your necklace before stumbling upon your partner for life, it's power will be gone forever. You would no longer be able to sense your soul mate and you would forever bear the mark of the Halfling, those whom never found their soul mate.

Sure, he can go out and socialize with teenagers especially since they're ones from his school but he finds himself isolated from the group. The teens throw a big party at the house during the end of the trip. The small leads to a boring night at the end. The teens find themself playing little games to occupy time. "I dare you to kiss a guy you don't even know the name of," Isla was asked and soon she found herself kissing Julian. It shocks Julian to a pause, here he was sitting idly to a girl kissing him suddenly. Julian ponders on it, but then finds out that the kiss wasn't meant to be anything.
