The building's security system is operated by an A.I named Xzarias, whom was crafted by Dr. Nolan Weiss alone. 'Xzarias' was first created in the year 2020, and has been rapidly gaining intelligence and sentience ever since. Artificial intelligence has been a popular topic for years now - and Weiss Industries hopes to produce more artificial minds and to give them bodies of their own, as human-like as possible. This tale follows the life of Nolan and Xzarias, their growing bond, and an the ever-changing world outside of the towering building Xzarias called his home. The year is 2063. Technology in the 21st century has progressed beyond what anyone has ever dreamt of. But at the same time, this technology is used to create synthetic android weapons of war. Among those weapons, a former Nation's Army combat android by the designation of AX-15. After being critically incapacitated in action, AX-15 was rendered unfit for service and was practically thrown out onto the streets. However, the android had been discovered by a smooth-talking mercenary that still found use for the combat androids' capabilities and given him the new name of Axis. The two go on to become the most feared hitmen in the underground, going by the name "Machina Mortis". Axis, with programmed loyalty to the mercenary and to the contract, suddenly has a glitch in his programming after an unexpected development during a mark which causes him to break from his prime directives and ignite a part of himself that Axis didn't know had existed.
