Grabbing my attention he handed me a piece of paper "You'll need this" he said with a confident smirk. I didn't take the paper but I fluttered my eyelashes and spoke in an even tone even though I very much understood what he said "je ne parle anglais" meaning I don't speak english I said to him with my thick french accent. This knocked him off his game and his friends looked incredibly amused one of which at least was in last period with me and definitely had heard me speak perfect english. He stood back up from the crouched position he was in over my desk trying to speak to me and walked over to his now loudly laughing friends. I continued to converse with my translator about the incident. I laughed and found the situation to be funny but he glared at me till the end of class. What a way to meet the star quarter-back of the football team right?
