Despite living in a land of fairy tales, Mi-Cha's life is anything but fantastic. With a fatally ill mother and no way to cure her, she's getting desperate. Desperate enough to try to become a guard for the royal family that took everything from her.

When Ahn Mi-Cha's father passed away, the Royal Family took everything from her and her mother to repay his debt to them that he left behind. That was okay, though. Everything was okay until her mother fell ill. As the months passed by, her condition just worsened. Now, a year after the illness first struck, she's desperate for help. Her mother is the only person in her life that she has left. She absolutely cannot lose her to this sickness. She'll do anything for a cure.

Even if it means serving the family that ruined her life.

So, Mi-Cha becomes a part of the Royal Guard and is assigned to guard one of the thirteen princes of the kingdom during this time of war.

And if she thought guarding Hong Jisoo was going to be easy, she's got another thing coming.
