When Mark Fischbach receives an email from the Make-a-Wish foundation asking for him to visit a dying patient, he accepts immediately. Of course. He was happy to make someones day. After all, it's what he does. Work had been stressing him out anyways; it would be nice to get out of town. Fly out for a couple days, spend lots of time with the person, get to know them. Exchange numbers or something, then pack up and leave. That was the plan. But Mark never could've prepared for what-or who- he was about to meet. Even worse, he never could have predicted the lasting effect they would have on him. Battling against time and fate's cruel hand, Mark is forced to come face-to-face with something he never thought he'd have to deal with; deep, uncontrollable fear.
Based around Laura Shigihara's song "Everything's Alright", this tragic prequel sets the stage for the biggest mental fight Mark would ever have to experience. But as time passes, Mark begins to realize that this was a fight he might not even win.

I actually really hate this. Read if you wanna, I guess. It's bad though. *completed* I was frozen when the pop of the gun rang throughout the house. I wanted to close my eyes, I wanted to look away, but I couldn't. The man fell to his knees and flopped on his side, a dark red liquid quickly falling from a small hole in his head. Mark, a cut under his eye and a busted lip, looked at me full of fear and worry, immediately spotting what was wrong. Before he could say anything, the pistol fell from my hands and onto the floor, myself falling with it. Now on the floor, I wanted to cry, I wanted to scream, but nothing would come out. Over my struggle, I heard Mark grunt and a few shaky footsteps before I felt my head being propped up on something- or someone -and all I could see was Mark staring down at me in both emotional and physical pain. ~~~ Y/n never would've thought one person could twist her life into a mess. Seeing them in his house when he was awake or asleep. Now, when he thought he was in control of his life once again, Mark received a voice mail asking him to meet 'an old friend'. Hearing that familiar voice threw him off so much, he didn't know if he should go along with this. But, it would be nice to see someone who had gone through the same experiences as him, to talk about it and get help. Is it really a good idea to see Nate's friendly face if it means risking those robots seeing him again? And would this friendly face help Mark more then he previously thought?
