Autumn Lace is a 16 year old independent nightmare. That's exactly how she likes to describe herself. With sleeping being such a problem and her anxiety condition rising, her health is increasingly going down hill. But letting someone help is not in the works. Letting someone know entirely is not an option in the slightest.
That's why when fellow classmate Shay Tanner shows up as an unexpected prescription in Autumn's life she's extra careful to bring her guard up even higher. Is the chance of being in love and getting out of the horrid nightmares too risky to even let Shay past Autumn's hazy exterior?

But when the opposite pair start spending time together, Tanner starts to see a whole new side of Autumn, and at the same time, the two grow closer to each other. She has to suffer from her disability every day, while at the same time dealing with the people who see her as the odd one out.
