Wrong. Mason is abusive, as well and takes all of his anger out of innocent Eliza.

Now meet Nick, stereotyped as an Emo boy, he's not the most popular boy in school. Even with his good looks, and obvious charm, he has no luck with girls. He pushed Eliza out of his life when they were fourteen and he's been desperate to get her back ever since.
