StarClan's presence is still missing from the Land, but Sootleaf's dreams point to a solution that lies not in the stars, but in the light of the moon. A few cats are chosen from each Clan to follow its guiding light and find their lost ancestors, and return them to the Land.
However, while this is happening, the Clans struggle to find peace. VenomClan appoints a new deputy and is a rising threat, once again. Featherstar and Bigstar employ a way to discover their enemies' secrets, but things can't seem to correct themselves, especially when a darkness penetrates the six Clans from all sides.
The Darkforest.
Greenstar and Wolfstar have a vice-like grip on the Land and the Darkforest's power only grows, even as inside forces try their hardest to undermine their leader.
How will SandClan and BirdClan fare, fighting against three Clans that threaten to tear everything apart, especially with the help of their dark allies? Will they find their ancestors in time? And what will happen as they focus their attention on the wrong things... ignoring the shadows that fill their very camps?

Power of Three - Book 4 Skystar's three grandchildren have learned of the powerful prophecy that foretells their destinies, and the responsibility of deciding the Clans' future weighs heavily on the three apprentices. But each secretly yearns for power; Lionpaw dreams of being unbeatable in battle, while Hollypaw longs to be a great leader while using her powers to shape the best future, and Jaypaw knows only he could see the past of the Clans. Their strengths are tested when ThunderClan is suddenly attacked--and all the Clans are thrown into a battle unlike any the cats have seen. Then a dark shadow falls across the forest, and a mysterious stranger warns the Clans of more trouble to come. For the first time, it appears that StarClan does not hold the answers the cats need. Suddenly the warrior code is being tested. Everything the Clans are built upon crumble under the mere words of a cat with the mane of a lion who tangles himself into the Clans like vines creeping up a stone wall.
