StarClan's presence is still missing from the Land, but Sootleaf's dreams point to a solution that lies not in the stars, but in the light of the moon. A few cats are chosen from each Clan to follow its guiding light and find their lost ancestors, and return them to the Land.
However, while this is happening, the Clans struggle to find peace. VenomClan appoints a new deputy and is a rising threat, once again. Featherstar and Bigstar employ a way to discover their enemies' secrets, but things can't seem to correct themselves, especially when a darkness penetrates the six Clans from all sides.

Greenstar and Wolfstar have a vice-like grip on the Land and the Darkforest's power only grows, even as inside forces try their hardest to undermine their leader.

Lead by Shiningstar, their terrifying leader, they lead a wake of destruction behind them. Until, the leaders of the other clans, Hundredstar, Stormstar, and Grovestar merged into one fighting force, and destroyed Shiningstar's army. She and her clan of monsters were banished away from the borders of the clans where the air was said to be supernaturally cold, and forced upon them the name of SilencedClan. But history is always written by the victor. SilencedClan, after multiple cycles, is still persisting away from the other clans. Chromekit, a lovely SilencedClan kit and then apprentice, hunts farther from her home than she thought. She meets two strange apprentices, Sunpaw and Snowpaw, and easily befriends them. But, with the coming of the strangers, the lost clan's destiny is once again tangled with the other three. A dark army is rising, seemingly even stronger than the original, fearsome ShiningClan warriors. Chromepaw is immediately placed in the thick of it all, with her new friends trailing behind her. This is the tale of SandClan and their neighbours- five other Clans, including their warriors. Everyone is unique, everyone has a story, and with each story, their own horrors and delights. Even in their separate stories, they're all intertwined into a brilliant tale; a battle: between good and evil, the future and the past. Only the present can tell what will happen when claws unsheathe after moons of peace. Firepaw and Rockpaw are the eyes of this story, but are not the only voices. Each warrior is just as important as the last, and their ties with others, and feuds with some, are just as important. Both Firepaw and Rockpaw are left with emotional and literal scars from their past, reminding them of the appending troubles that will eventually arrive like a storm within the dark clouds of fate. However, when OakClan mysteriously allies with VenomClan, a Clan with a dark past and an unseen future, will those dark clouds actually spit lightning, or will calm winds settle on the Land once again?
