(Terraformation - (n.) the process of transforming a hostile environment into one suitable for human life; "Earth-shaping.") 

Something like a millennia ago, Earth was deemed an unsuitable place to live due to overcrowding and pollution. At that time, the United Protectorate of the Human Race came up with one definitive solution: the terraformation of Mars. Since the successful cultivation of the Red Planet, nearly fifty subsequent solar systems in the Milky Way galaxy have been terraformed and colonized. 

The universe is now a much different place than it was a thousand years ago. Separate planets struggle with their own revolts and dissension, while the United Protectorate works to improve interplanetary relations and establish a universal order.

Eden Virdane is the prodigious daughter of the Protectorate's renowned leader, Marcous Virdane - who also happens to be the governor of Centuria, the best and brightest of the galaxy's new planets. The young Eden Virdane is already the captain of her own Protectorate fleet, as well as being respected far and wide for her bravery and integrity, and she's only eighteen. 

Jame Moriarty is an unregistered person, a thief in the night, an enemy of order, and everything that Eden Virdane and her Protectorate confederates stand against. Part of a crew of illegals, Jame is on a mission to recover the life that he has lost - the life he believes the Protectorate has taken from him.

Worlds collide and these two young people are pitted against each other in what begins as a petty skirmish but just might grow into the final battle for control of the universe.
