This is the summary I wrote in my notes:
Mitch goes out and gets laid when Alex is round because he can't stand watching his best friend be head over heels in love when Mitch knows Scott will never feel the same.
Scotts birthday party: Scott held Mitch like a lover and belted misery business and all Mitch did was close his eyes and try and hide his sad smile because he was so happy but so sad all at once. Then Alex came over and kissed Scott and Mitch retreated to his room to cry on Scott's birthday.
