The First True Voyagers
It is the year 2330AD and the Earth is in turmoil. Just over two hundred years ago the third world war ended in a nuclear crescendo. Now rampant terrorism and anti-technology death cults wreak terrible havoc all across the great blue jewel of humanity's cradle and the corrupt governments of the world tear at each other's throats for what remains. But there is hope amongst the stars, if only humanity could reach out and touch them. Deep in the bowels of a secret government facility, a remnant of the old world before the bombs fell, a breakthrough is made. Faster than light technology, the first functional warp drive. The Art of Destruction
Humanity. It goes beyond the common definition of: "a collective group of humans". It's a sense of benevolence. One may act; 'for the sake of humanity' and there are; 'crimes against humanity'. We're supposed to be proud of the human race, yet... humans are self-destructive. A group of elite alien race came to Earth and proved once and for all that we were our own worst enemy. They weren't wrong. but it was too late. They managed to save Earth- eradicating pollution and reversing global warming but they killed anyone who got in their way and indoctrinated the rest. Those who remained revolted. World War III resulted- killing the planet. The War ended but the battle was not won. The fight continues on, despite the destroyed society and Earth we call home. It's a relentless fight between those who want the world to go back to the way it was and those who still fight to hold on to their humanity- no matter what. We self-destruct but we also fight for what's right. It's a delicate balance- it's an art form. Our Conscious Fields; What is living?
Slow paced narrative set in a world awakened to panpsychism and innate abilities following the fall and rise of society. A gentle approach to world building with a bit of humor, romanticism, and just enough hints of drama without going into it.
