Cinderella Paints in Yellow

So let's forget the classic. There's no Cinderella. There's just Cole Harper. A 17 year-old artist who is forced to live with step-father after his mother dies. He saves up for his own worn out Chevy trucks, working long hours at one of his step-dad's many hardware shops. He has two obnoxious airhead stepbrothers who drive expensive cars and live the high life.
Cole does get to attend his city's top private school along with his brothers but his stepbrothers don't want people to think they're anything like him. They make fun of him and everyone follows along so they're not the next victims.
So Cole stays in the shadows and tries to keep his hopeless crush on the school sweetheart on, Elizabeth James, his best kept secret.
But what happens when Elizabeth throws a huge birthday party that Cole's family is invited to? Will he get a fairy godfather or will he keep hiding behind his sketchbook?
