Sage Laker is a seventeen year old girl moves to the small town of Searsport Maine to live with her mother after he father passes away from lung cancer. She is a quiet girl that may seem a bit cold at first but she is a sweetheart once you get to know her. She becomes friends with a boy that plays on the soccer team named Keith Parks and she quickly becomes friends with his girlfriend Tina Oak who is head of the school news paper. Sage also becomes curious with the boy Graysen Stone and his group of brothers and friends that live on a forest preservation close to the coast. Graysen seemed so strange. It wasn't that he was mean.. it was that Sage could see something past his green eyes... something that was calling to her
