Romance
Nova is running and screaming inside but words are never spoken. The love she had was stolen. She was only seven and a half when her father kidnapped her and raised her for the next fifteen years. Shutting out the domestic abuse she had watched her mother endure, she let go of the dream of taking her littler brother and mother far from where the pain was. Suffering from a deep depression, her mother slowly breaks down without the strength to locate her daughter on that unfathomable day. Overcoming mental abuse and being brainwashed to forget, she holds onto the last memories she can of that unfortunate day. At twenty-two she finally has the opportunity to escape as her dad lies passed out from a fall. Lost and burdened, she wanders down the way distraught and weak and ends up at an old abandoned lot where the remains are a few run down cars and park bench, where her hand unintentionally catches the remnants of a torn letter. She meets the recently heartbroken Ellis Denning who has been living the past few days in one of the cars that she thought was rundown but wasn't. Without knowing her presence, she discovered him throwing random questions out there still apparently in shock from his recent loss, before he realizes the condition of someone more inflicted. Over this unlikely connection, Eli as he wants to be referred as, risks losing himself to save Nova from the torment of pain she has endured over the years she has been victimized. He soon convinces her to return to where she left herself, to possibly rekindle her life while she saves his own detached and damaged state of mind. Both soon find home in each other while discoveries are made, secrets are revealed, memories are redeemed, and the redemption of two lost souls unite for a journey that we all deserve in the deepest core of who we are.

*Short Story* It is difficult to stay with the people who look down at you like you are some kind of disease. It hurts when they don't want to acknowledge you for the good things you have done. It hurts when your family rejects you only because you are quiet and weak saying you are good for nothing. Annie Ryan was nothing but a quiet, innocent teenager waiting for her mate to save her from the dark hell she was living in. She had only one dream, she wanted to feel loved, she wanted someone to tell her that they care and would love her no matter what happens. But little did she know that she was just another unfortunate soul whose mate had different plans. Caden was an young alpha. He had everything but where everyone was eager to meet their mate, he wasn't. He had already given his position of alpha female to his girlfriend. But after she left him, he turned cold and ruthless. But when he met Annie, his mate, one thing was clear. He wanted nothing to do with her. He asked her to leave but when she declined, he paid her no attention like she never existed. Annie was broken. Her dream was just a dream. Every night she closed her eyes, she realized she was going to die alone with no one to care. She wanted to end her life but not before setting everything right, not before her destined alpha mate finds his happiness. Caden didn't know what he was missing until he lost it. Maybe that's how life works. Maybe that's why it is called cruel.
