Start of a new book idea, work in progress:
Way up in the "stars" he sits, a grouchy spirit named Alphard, in a over-romanticized cubicle, watching the living and the dead alike for an unwanted, unkept promise of escape. For millennia he's grown accustomed to his godly title in the monotonous heavens, almost a legend as "a failure who never fails to fail, even in death".
But what reality would he learn to despise now, sent below to Earth on a field mission, when he meets his match-- a free-spirited lady as sweet as he as bitter? And what reality will he learn to find solace in when he is put through a hell worse than heaven to meet his maker?

Hello, this story is not good. It was written by a depressed young tween who didn't understand what an abusive relationship is. I'm only keeping it up because it's my only completed book. Take everything a grain of salt. She's sick of everyone. It all started in forth grade when she moved to Colorado. She was a different girl back then... Alaska was naive, had blonde hair, loved people, and was kind. Then she met Dillon he was gorges, tall, strong, and everything Alaska was not. Dillon was a werewolf and next in line for Alpha position of Black Blood Pack. Dillon hates his mate and waiting tell he is old enough to reject her. He dose what he can, ignores her, forgets her, because she is nothing but a pathetic human. Or so she thought... . . . "Get out of my head!" He yelled at me. I stood my ground, because I was here and was not leaving. "What's your problem with me?" I hissed. "Your weak, ugly, pathdic, little human, who I could kill so easily. Unfortunately for me I can't reject you yet!" I didn't know what reject meant I knew it was bad, by the way the silent room went quite. "Well I may be ugly, I may be pathdic, and you know what I'm a weak little human. I may not be able to kill you, you can make my life hell, go ahead, do it. You can hate me with every bone in your body. But if you think for a moment I care your wrong." Caught between who he is expected to be and who he used to be, Nichael is confused, trusted with too much power, and overall, a threat to his loved ones. As cults grow, friends grow distant, and he falls in love, nothing is clearer than one simple fact: Nichael is an angel. He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. As a princess and heir to the kingdom, her future was daunting enough. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. The sun rises on a beautiful sunny summer day. Bill has been waiting for the perfect time to try again. Cast in stone, a statue in the forest of Gravity Falls, he had a lot of time to think. Then one night, the moon and stars lit the path for a familiar face, everything changed. The one who bested him, now growing up, worse for wear he'd turned to the arms of a demon in search of rest. Dipper Pines has been living in Gravity Falls with his Grunkles for eight years now. However, the apprenticeship was nothing like he was expecting. Nightmares getting worse and depression taking a nose dive Dipper finds himself spending his nights wondering the forest, that is till exhaustion over comes him and sleep pulls him into arms of stone. Summer is upon them, and with the twins 20th birthday rounding the corner Mabel takes the trip back to Gravity falls. All of his zodiac are in one place once again, it's the perfect time to make things a little weird. (This is an edited and updated version of my originally work, I've fixed some of the grammar and revamped the flow of the plot. Major details remain for the most part intact just better now that I have more writing experience. This is still definitely a BillDip story and will still be very gay, hopefully even more gay than the first time around.) Also! this is a slow burn and I mean I'ma make it slower than the first book because now that I've gone back and read over for the first time in several years I still think I was to fast with their relationship so I mean it when I say slow burn! Both a success... and a failure. Socks crash-lands on the planet known as Earth, inhabited (for the most part) by the species Homo Sapiens - Humans. His ship was totaled and his home was hundreds upon hundreds of light years away, not to mention also through a black hole. So of course, leaving isn't much of an option. On this new planet, Socks meets some new friends, a group of humans he grows fond of. It's peaceful, and, although homesickness is present, he is at peace. But nothing lasts forever. For a little piece of home resides in the shadows. A dark one that, although Socks has never formally encountered, knows all about and had been influenced by greatly. If it weren't for him, he may not even have been on Earth. And that little piece of home... Wishes him and the entire human population to hell. ---------------- NOTE: THESE CHAPTERS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER RECONSTRUCTION. I didn't feel like entirely rewriting the book, so I'm rewriting individual chapters currently. This note will be deleted once I've rewritten everything. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Complete
