Taken By The Wind

“I writhe around on the floor gasping and choking on my own screams. Pain explodes in every part of my body and just when I think that I can’t be hurt more, someone twists my arm so violently that I feel it come out of the socket.”

Sophia’s life was difficult. Juggling high school, family issues, and money problems was hard. The bullying at school just made things worse. Sophia thought she could cope, and for a while, she actually did. Even though she felt as though her life was being blown by the wind, Sophia managed to trudge ahead with her head held high.

But things aren’t always fair in life and not everyone has a happy ending. After all, the wind does not always blow in the same direction. It changes course, and sometimes, it changes for the worst.
