I was scared. I was tired. I was dirty. I was little then, and I didn't know what happened. All I knew was that is was dark. So dark. Then the door opened and the light came in, and I wasn't scared anymore.
Disclaimer: For the record, I didn't invent Ranger's Apprentice (even though I wish I did), John Flanagan did. I don't own any characters except for Amara, Ember, Hailey, and Jackson. (Okay, now we're done with this "don't-sue-me" crap.)
