"Um... does she always act like that?" I asked, then turned to realize Mr. Auguste was right beside me. "Be quite Cassandra," He said. I couldn't speak, no matter how hard I tried. "Be still Cassandra," As soon as he said those words, I couldn't move a muscle. His eyes turned bloodshot and I could see all of the veins in his face. His teeth grew to a point. He turned my head to the side, opened his mouth, and bit down hard. My vision turned foggy, my mind went numb, then everything went black.

"Cora..." I say with an annoyed tone. I throw her arms off my waist, and grab a hold of Claire's hand. She gives Claire a distasteful look then looks at me. "Couldn't you find a better date?" I walk to her, letting go of Claire's hand and I close the distance between Cora and I. I grab a hold of her arm and feel the bones crush underneath my hand. I feel Claire grab a hold of my arm, but I don't respond to her. "If you ever talk about my date like she isn't in the room, or even if you say what you said again, I will snap your neck. Now, run along." I say letting go of her arm. She gives me a look of hatred then scurries away. I find Claire's body with one of my hands and I feel her engulf me with her arms. I twist the end of the red strings that tie around my neck. My red hood flying behind me, as if wings. I hear a loud creak and turn around quickly. The red eyes glow amongst the darkness. The air reeked of the smell of sulfur. I point my crossbow into the darkness. "Show yourself" I shout out calmly. "Oh, little miss Red, you are looking for Jenivive, aren't you? Well it's just me, her loyal servant" The voice echoes through the abandoned factory. Damn it! "Bastian, show yourself!" I yell, and hear the sound of someone running. I turn around to see Bastian in my face, no breathe flowed from his mouth. I immediately shoot, sending holy water into its core, and into its blood stream. It falls over and begins spazing out. "Go back to hell!" I yell and stab it with my blade. My red hood flew backwards, causing my black hair to be shown. My black boots stretched to my knees. My crystal blue eyes shown bright. "Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. He released her from his grasp and stalked down the hallway, forgoing the elevator for the stairs. Once she was sure he was out of hearing range, Cassidy gasped loudly and reached for her neck, gently placing her fingers on the delicate skin where his hand had just been. She swallowed loudly and felt the slight burn that had taken up residence in her throat. Fuck me, she thought to herself.
