Everyone in Town is scared of the Red Priests.
Everyone, from the lowly farm boys to the highest nobles, everyone has the fear. These people have given up their lives to serve the Cathedral, given up everything they have ever owned to join the ranks.

There is a boy, in Town. A boy who has nothing. An orphan, a lonely, poor orphan, no family, no friends, nobody he could even claim to be remotely close to. When you have nothing, when nobody respects you, when nobody fears you, where do you turn? That is the decision this boy must make.

Long ago, before the Lutrosy Empire, powerhouse of the southern continent, there existed a small sect of priests who worshipped an unknown god of history. This god is said to have given onto it's few worshippers a piece of itself, The Tome of Past. The one who carries the tome is said to have been given a great mission. To collect the stories of the deceased to put into the tome. It is said by the ancient stories and the whispers of superstitious peasants that the tome grants an individual the ability to experience the past of the deceased. However, the Tome is thought to have been lost during the formation of the Lutrosy empire when King Francesco Severoth marched his armies to West Replure and conquered his brother's lands before unifying the middle of the southern continent. Now, with the tome becoming ancient legend, there are few who believe it existed at all. After all such a powerful artifact would have been found by now by the machinations of lore obsessed wizards or god inspired clerics yet it remains lost. But fate is a mysterious beast, a book that many powerful figures would risk their lives for ends up in the hands of a young man who knows not it's true value... Hi, I'm the creator of this story, I go by Flyingtelop as my online handle. I made an unfinished story awhile back that was really bad. I've returned with a vengeance though and learned more about writing. This is a significantly improved product from my other story, The Forest Of Madness. This story will not have a consistent upload schedule, I plan to put everything I have into this novel so each chapter will take a lot of time for me to complete. Each chapter will hold at least 10,000 words of hopefully decent quality. If a chapter's bad I will literally rewrite the chapter so it shows as much quality as I can muster - Flyingtelop

She is a monster, a nightmare, a killer, who dreams of an ancient battlefield and a different, brutal world where stars fall and dark blood stains the earth. Kye Merran is an Ember, one who wields fire magic. When a childhood friend shows up at his house with a strange girl who is bleeding black blood, he knows that he's getting into something he definitely shouldn't. Especially when the Dark King of Rurik, who may have much more to him than it seems, is looking to conquer another kingdom or two, preferably with a powerful, dark queen at his side. But Kye can't seem to stay away from the mysterious girl with the blood of Darkness. And Val can't stay away from Kye either, no matter how much she claims that she hates him. As Val, Kye, and their friends race to stop the Dark King and his approaching army, what they don't realize is that they are playing a part in an ancient, deadly game, a game between the light and the dark, one years in the making. But it is a game which neither of them can win, for their fates have already been determined by the desperate Gods, written in blood among the stars. Secrets From the Grave (Sinister 1.60)

19 parts Complete Mature

Powerful and forbidden secrets. Secret Empires built on unmarked graves. There is a power pulsing through me. I shook off my nightmares, but they are circling back. Except now instead of others coming for me, I see my face and my jaded eyes. Only older and wiser. But my mouth now whispers grave secrets. And as they say, two can keep a secret if one of us is dead. Shh. My name is Calliope, my name is Melpomene, my name is Aurora, and my name is Saffronia. We waited too long, and the linked chains drowned us with their weight. So we gave up. Not the will to fight, the will not to. These names are on my head. We rise as one, or we jump together.
