A sixteen year old African boy comes home one day from a two day hunting trip only to find his mother and father dead from the disease going around: Malaria. His seven year old brother and five year old sister are alive, though. So, the three head to American lands. But once they reach the border, the government won't let them pass because they may have the disease in their blood. Can Akatchi and his siblings make it to America before Malaria hits them? Or will they be forced to die in their homes?
