Lucy Briar, now 48, works as a ranger at Sweet Water Creek State Park, enjoying a secluded life she has always longed for. The serene beauty of the park offers a welcome escape from the world's chaos. However, Lucy occasionally experiences fleeting, inexplicable memories of a different reality-vivid fragments of an alternate universe she cannot fully grasp. Unbeknownst to her, these glimpses are remnants of a life she lived before a traumatic accident erased her memories of the events from the story *Cautious of the Moon* and events depicted in "The Walking Dead."
Her only contact with the outside world is Beckett, who checks in monthly via radio from "Atlanta" and supplies her with essential provisions. Despite the solitude, Lucy finds peace in her solitary job, surrounded by nature. Yet, as she navigates her life at the ranger station, she remains unknowingly connected to a past that might hold the key to understanding her mysterious memories.
