"Help me my daughter. Help your father survive." My father's distorted form in the air spoke to me. "NO!" Thirteen year old me shrieked at the cloud shaped form of my biological father. "Tom and Matt will be here soon." I threatened him. My voice was firm but I was so scared inside and it felt like he could see the war raging inside me. Do I give in to him? He is my father after all. It isn't his fault he lost to a baby and left us with Rodolphus. My blood boiled at the thought of him. His face twisted into a cruel smirk which confirmed my decision. I will not help him come back to life. Panic planted a seed in my chest. "Your dear older brothers are in a deep slumber my precious daughter. I could have asked them for this task but you have always been my favourite, even as a baby." My stomach curled at listening his voice. Even though I knew he couldn't hurt me right now it still didn't calm the storms of fear brewing in my chest. "Never." My voice was low but firm. I was proud of myself for controlling the tremble in my voice. "Eh? Never you say? You will regret that little Alexia. I hear you made friends with a girl. I shall see if her will power is as strong as yours." With that his figure whooshed away and I was left alone with my thoughts. The seed blossomed into a full blown tree and squeezed my lungs until there was no air left to breathe. They thought they could have a normal life. The past belongs in the past. Right? If not a normal childhood there's still a chance for a normal youth. But they have demons in their past and their future. No matter how much they repress their demons, they would always haunt them. After all the heirs to The Dark Lord don't get to have a normal life. No rest for the wicked. ********************** I promise you this story is better than how it seems. Its filled with humor and heartbreak and you will have a grand time reading it.

Waking up face down in mud sucks any day of the week. But coming around in the sludge of a strange realm...? Well, that just redefines a bad day altogether. Trapped in an unfamiliar world, sixteen-year-old Quinn is frustrated that none of the strange Tree People appreciate his urgency to get back home to earth. Now he is faced with a choice that could change the course of his life: escape and find his own way home, or stay and help them find the cause of the poison ravishing their world. When the mind-reader unlocks one of the ancient mysteries of the Tree People it points to the only way of saving them from annihilation: they have to find the Power of Light. What exactly that means, the mind-reader doesn't reveal, but his next warning comes as a shock to all present: finding the mysterious Power of Light can only be done with the help of the dangerous enemy tribe whom they once called family. Quinn soon finds himself a little more entangled in the lives of these gifted beings than he'd care to be. Especially after meeting Jazz: the feisty girl from his world who seems to be a regular visitor to the world of Zoay. To Quinn's constant frustration, the aqua-eyed pixie makes it clear that she's not there to make friends. On their journey they'll brave bizarre encounters in dangerous alien forests, while sacrificing pride and will for the survival of all. Along the way Quinn finds more than he ever thought to seek: purpose, fulfillment and love. When the Power of Light is finally found a devastating discovery is made: if all of Zoay-including their enemy-want to live and prosper, one must be willing to sacrifice their life.

19 parts Complete Mature

No one is completely good and no one is only bad. Every dark person chose that way. It could have been because of bad upbringing, hunger for power or a failed love. Take Tom Riddle for example. He was a brilliant, charming, handsome young man, who always had been distant....different. His youth in Wool's orphanage was harsh and he was treated like a toy, a freak, an outcast, a monster. His good looks didn't save him there but only seemed to push him further away from the light. But he did love, did feel the power of friendship. It was unusual for him to show affection but he was very much capable of it. But only to one person. A girl, which had casted a spell over his heart. Someone who was like him...different but special. This is the story of how Tom Riddle changed and the fight of a young girl to keep him from turning into the one she feared. ~Started June 2015~ Completed February 8 2016~ (*disclaimer* all rights and characters go to J.K. Rowling except my own characters of course.)
