Dan Howell was anything but ordinary. he was incredibly fond of space, innocence and pastels, causing him to automatically be ruled out by society.
Phil Lester was no help to his anxiety.
Phil Lester was an asshole. he was fond of homophobic and sexist slurs (albeit his lowkey homosexuality), cussing, tattoos and piercings. he wasn't quite ruled out by society: everyone was too petrified out of their minds to dare confront Phil.
Dan Howell was no help to his rage.

Or to wear light colored skinny jeans and converse. He only had two friends, the only other people to dress similar to him. Phil Lester was the opposite, he wore all black, his fringe was dyed blue and he pierced and tattooed his skin against his mothers wishes. He was the schools bad boy, he could care less about his grades or where he would go after high school. He spent his days sassing his teachers, bullying helpless peers and skipping class. On the last day of school Dans friends invite him along to a summer camp so the three of them can enjoy the three months of summer vacation away from their small town. Dan agrees, mainly to get away from a particular bully, Phil Lester, who seems to be set out for him and only him until he realizes, Phil is at camp too.
