Cassadee just turned 16 and is having so much fun driving around with her friends, until the horrid day that her mom dies in a car crash. Her mom was her best friend, her comforter. What is she going to do? She feels like killing herself, not at the fact that her mom is dead but more of everyone's reactions. They think she can't handle it but she knows that everyone must die sometime or another. The only person that seems to understand her is the guy she has had a secret crush on since 3rd grade. Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all.
