Laurel Thames is a girl with possibly a great problem, though her appearance said a different story she was clearly not so independent, her problems caused more than trouble but affliction. A curse set in the family was sat upon her though she had none of it's qualifications, her older brother still manages to do the unspeakable.
Leaving her stranded in an unknown world where there is no such thing as a phone or the internet, Laurel felt betrayed and above all depressed so she accepted her fate to slowly die in a dark and shadowy forest but her curse made her feel so much pain around that even the trees began to speak to her.
Crazy she thought but only her fear lead her straight into the hands of Thranduil the King of Mirkwood, without a care he sentenced her to life in his dungeons but his son thought otherwise. Talking on behalf of the girl, Legolas persuaded his father to keep her as a guest.
Now that she is a guest with little value to the eyes of the Silvan Elves and their King and a secret she holds within herself of controlling all of natures elements, will she ever be relieved of her depression?, will the King show kindness to her?and why did the Prince save her? Even when he was the one who captured/saved her from the southern boarders of Mirkwood.

"She cannot stay here." Beorn said. "It is unsafe for a child. I do not want her to... be exposed. To my other form." "You seem to forget that she is your daughter." The two men momentarily turned their gazes back to young Kyja, who was too occupied following the winged insect. Compassion soon struck the wizard's heart. "Yet... there is someone that could care for her. He is an odd fellow, relates more to animals than any other living creature- but he is genuinely kind, and will be able to assist Kyja in the following years. Radagast the Brown is his name." And so, the journey begins. Far into adulthood, Kyja is introduced to a completely new world when Gandalf proposes an offer- to join a band of dwarves to help them save their homeland. Haunted by past memories and scars, the skin-changer is forced to come to terms with her own history while accepting the new fate she has been given.
