In a future dystopian London, mind-altering technology allows the richest people in the world to fully believe they are the main character in a film, which plays out in the real world. Heath Harker is an extra who plays a small part in these films, which are known as "projects." He hates his job almost as much as Kate Dexton, a struggling writer for the projects, who is yet to write anything successful. 
When Heath's fiancée starts to act strangely, it's just enough to push him over the edge. As Heath tries to uncover what really goes on behind the locked doors of the projects' building, Kate meets Seth, an influential Upper Londoner who has asked for her personally.All Rights Reserved
