Summer is always the highlight of everyone's year, so when Chloe Davidson travels to California to be with family, she has no idea what is in store for her. Friends will be made, hearts will be broke, and memories will be made. 

NOTE: I want to preface this by saying this book was not written in 2025 like it says! I wrote this in 2012 when I was 13 years old. Looking back on this book now I'm definitely cringing, but hell I wrote a book when I was a kid and as a 26 year old adult I'm struggling with what to write.

I unpublished this story a few years ago because I was embarrassed, but I'm republishing it for myself. I'm going to rewrite this book as a completely separate story so I can compare the two later.

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever escape this hell hole. "Yeah you should've." I agreed, whispering under my breath. "What was that!?" He yelled even louder than before. "N-Nothing." I stuttered, afraid of his reaction. I don't want to be pushed down the stairs again. The last time that happened, I broke my wrist. They didn't even take me to the hospital. I had to bandage it myself. "That's what I thought! Go fetch me a beer!" He ordered. There comes a moment when you don't want to stop. When you don't want to get better. You just don't care anymore.
