We played in the woods until dark. The moon cast an eerie glow on the trees as we ran around. A bat flew overhead and I ducted. It was my turn to count for hide -n- seek. One, two, three, four, fi- "Aaaaahhhhh." What was that?

I had an ego the size of a planet. At least since I was three, I hid my shyness and general utter misanthropy for the human race under a crappy braggadocio and pomp that would make even the devil blush if I carried through with it into my 20s. Pathetic, really. Then again, at the age of three I still hadn't formulated my personality yet. I didn't even know if I had one, though I did know for one thing that I was an ill-tempered little brat...I didn't know what the future would clasp in its lying, damning claws or what beautiful dead person would catch my eye (was it the other way round? I wasn't sure...). Here's what I can remember up to this point anyway.
