Love and evil have the same amount of letters......... You just have to know the difference between them, before it's too late. And I swore I did, but how could someone, so beautiful, caring and loving, be the root of all the evil brought into my life? I mean...... You're supposed to be my angel....... How can angels do any wrong? I quickly lost my train of thought as the hard slap turned my cheek bright red and blurred my vision. I knew who it was before I even tried to look. Ahhh drunk again. He stumbled over and he didn't even have to speak to smell the white rum. It was almost like it was seeping from his pores. Please... please don't hurt me..... I begged in my head. He saw the hurt and dissapointment on my face. But what really brought the smirk on his face was my fear of him........a fear so strong that you could smell it miles away. And he knew I wouldn't do anything about what he was doing to me because..... I loved him. and before I knew it, his hand was over my face and everything faded to darkness.

A marriage neither wanted. A hatred neither understands. Two strangers tied by a past that stains everything between them. He never wanted a wife. Especially not her. Cold, distant, and poisoned by assumptions, Amaan enters the forced marriage with one intention- to keep his distance and keep his resentment alive. Asmaira enters with something far heavier- guilt. Not to protect him. Not to save him. But because she knows the truth of what happened... and she cannot bear to confess it. They have never met. But the moment they do, the air turns sharp- full of tension, unspoken accusations, and the kind of hate that feels too much like longing. He despises her for a sin she never committed. She punishes herself for a sin she never confessed. And marriage turns into a battleground where silence is a weapon... and closeness is a threat. In this house, love is impossible. Trust is deadly. But hatred? Hatred is the only thing keeping them alive.
