Sixteen year old, Charlotte Ackerman, is in for one hell of a ride in her Junior year. Living right next to the beaches of Coastal Edge, Charlotte has grown up surfing the waves since she was four. She is a crazy good surfer, but it looks like Junior year is going to bring a lot more than good grades and good surf.
After having a hard break-up with her ex-boyfriend, she's decided that she isn't going to be dating for a while. But, Charlotte's best friend Bailey, has other plans. Bailey drags Charlotte along to a party, where she finds herself meeting one very handsome, very popular, football jock - Ashton Parker. He is sweet and caring and societies perception of 'perfect', but it looks like he has some competition with the new boy in school - Jackson. Jackson is shy, sweet and incredibly cute. But he also has a mysterious, troubled past.
Charlotte soon befriends the lonely boy and she soon realises that this year is going a lot differently than planned.
