In the midst of World at War, a young pilot is shot from the air down into the Ocean by a mysterious flash. No one knows if he survived. Two days later, a cruise ship by the name of Sapphire of the Sea, sinks unexpectedly, causing the Americans to doubt the alliance with their fellow nations. In doubt, they send an expedition led by an Archaeologist by the name of Ever to search for any survivors or possible causes. When they arrive, they encounter a small nation of native tribes with writing all over their bodies. The crew never returns.
