This is a story about how a girl and her deaf best friend work. And this shows that she really cares and wants to get to know her. Abigail comes into her freshman year knowing nobody. She meets Karissa on the first day they start their friendship by learning small but important things. Like the fact that Karissa is deaf. But, they both look past these things and learn to deal with the things of high school with each other.
