No one had ever really bothered him before, aside from the occaisonal 'loser' and 'freak', but everyone got that, didn't they? Dean's life completely turned around when Castiel Novak began his junior year at Scurmount High. Rumors spread about Cas. "I heard he just got out of prison for attempted murder," "My friend went to his old school! She told me he was expelled, and thats why he was switched." Dean was unaware of which rumors were true, and which weren't but he had decided to try and stay away from this boy with an uncovered past, but somehow, he gets sucked in.

The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement. It wasn't until they got into high school, they finally acted upon their feelings of intense love for each other. Inseparable, utterly, stupidly and madly in love. They were both shattered, but their broken edges fit together perfectly. Both suffering from abusive households, both with a brother that they'd die for. Meant for each other. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!
