In Wellington, little eight year old Cassandra Roderford meets Carlyle Alpecks. Their friendship is forbidden, for dukes and barons are never for each other. But destiny and fate brings them closer, as their feelings grow deeper. They are like Romeo and Juliet, and sending letters is the only way for them to hide what they feel for each other.
