Luke is a boy, 17, piercing blue eyes, perfectly styled blonde hair, average. Other than one aspect. He doesn't talk. Ever since he watched his sister, Grace, die in the hospital when he was 12, he hasn't said a word, to anybody. His sister had been his best friend, only friend at some points, and one day, she was in a fatal car accident, leading to her death the next day. Liz and Andrew, Luke's parents, were upset about it, Grace's friends took it hard, but no one was more affected than the little blonde boy, who at that time, didn't know that death could happen to anyone under the age 60, or whenever was considered old. So, 5 years and no words, and next year, he'll turn 18, meaning he will probably move out. What then? Ashton is a boy, 19 years old, green/brown eyes that were sometimes covered by his silky smooth, chocolate colored hair that stood out against his pale, thin body. Same as Luke, Ash has had some family problems, but nothing involving death, he doesn't think. He doesn't exactly know. His dad walked when Ashton was only 2, leaving him with no memories of the man that had helped bring him into this life. He's also color blind, he was born that way, so he's kind of used to it by now. Sometimes....well, a lot of the time.....Ashton feels as if he isnt good enough. His borther, Harry, and his sister Lauren, are both share a dad, his name is Chris, and he loves them, sends them letters, E-mails, gifts. He cares. Sometimes he incudes something for Ashton to, but Chris isn't Ash's dad, so it doesn't really count. He's been in and out of therapy to help with his depression and suicidal thoughts, but it doesn't help. What happens when these 2 young men meet one day at a park in London? Maybe they have more in common than what they would expect. Will Luke ever talk? Ever? And will Ashton ever get better with controlling how he feels?

Ashton is okay right now. He's always like this after a bad bout. He starts off saying that the world is his oyster and he loves everyone, but when the energy and fresh success fades, so does he. Luke knows. He knows about all of Ashton's problems. He knows about the time Ashton was bullied nearly to the brink, the family deaths and friend losses, and the ups and downs, the latter of which seem to be more common lately. It's been so easy lately for Ashton to slip after a joke gone wrong, or a jab on Twitter. Ashton always says he's sorry, repeating it again and again if only to convince himself. Luke knows he's sorry, knows that he can't help it. And he'll sit by the bathtub for hours, holding Ashton, to make sure that he knows someone loves him. None of the other boys know. Ashton couldn't bring himself to tell them and face their disapproving stares too, and he wouldn't let Luke tell them, so he's stuck in this half state of secrecy and confession to Luke. Ashton hasn't gone too far yet, not far enough that Luke can't patch him up with gauze, antibiotics, and a long hug. But someday, someday, Luke knows Ashton won't be able to take it anymore, and Ashton will die. And Luke will be all alone.
