The Fold

When Grace was small, her mother had told her not to be afraid, that there was nothing there in the darkness that was not also there in the light. But Grace knew differently, for she had not been alive when she was born and in those moments that it took for the Resuscitation Team to bring the breath to her body, the Nether had already infected her and she brought it back with her into this life. Only one man shared her secret, and no war he fought in this life would prepare him for what he would have to face to bring her back once those who had been hiding in the shadows waiting for their moment had taken her back into their fold.
