Told from the perspective of Cosette and Eponine (later joined by Javert and Marius) is set in an Alternate universe of Les Miserables if Eponine had not stopped her thieving family from invading Jean Valjean's home. The events that will unfold next are not only miserable but include love, despair, death, change, sacrifice and of course, the Les Amis Revolution.

A Les Misérables fan fiction in which Jean Valjean has saved Javert from committing suicide. When Javert wakes up after a nasty fall into the river, he finds that the ex-convict turned philanthropist that he has been hunting down for 20-some years was the one who pulled him from the river. As their relationship changes, both Valjean and Javert find that their feelings for one another may go beyond friendship. Trouble starts, though, when some old villains come up with a new, very dangerous ploy to make money at Javert's expense. Author's Note: Yes, I am an unnecessarily big fan of Javert and Jean Valjean together. Have a problem with that? Don't read this. Additionally, the first two and a half chapters are going to borrow very heavily from the book and musical, because I want to stay as true to the original in back-story as I possibly can, and it'd be nice if even non-Les Mis fans could read this and figure out what's going on.
