As Kuvira's forced plans to unite all Earth Kingdom territory - including the United Republic of Nations - are revealed to her entourage, Akemi's loyalty towards the Earth Empire cause begins to waver as her ethics are tested even more intensely. Along her journey towards taking correct actions whilst under the influence of her relationship, the firebender crosses paths with various characters of the Legend of Korra, including members of Team Avatar and a long-lost relative of hers.
