Annabelle meets her mate and expects to be accepted right? After one mistakable night together, they end up mating. Her mate (chase) doesn't want her though. So what does she do? Leave, she couldn't stay there, not if it meant seeing her mate again, not when there was a bump forming in her stomach. Not when Chase rejected her and doesn't want to 'see' her again.
