This is a story about three 16 year old best friends on their high school swim team together. Their names are Rachel the tall brunette who loved to do freestyle and could outrace anybody, the tall blonde who could not stop talking about how her favorite stroke was butterfly, i personally am not a fan of fly though, and then there was me the shorty with dirty blond hair. Non of us knew each other before high school, but as soon as swim season started and we meat each other we all knew we would be best friends for the rest of our lives. We never spent a second apart, we lived in Hawaii which was lucky for us cause we lived right on the beach, so we can go swim or surf whenever we feel like it.
One day something weird happened, we all got accepted to go to the UCLA for a swimming competition that the top 4 people to win automatically get to go to the Olympic training center in Boulder, Colorado.
But what happens when we all get on the wrong flight and end up going to West Virginia instead of California. We end up having to take a road trip to get to California.. how we get a car and who we ride with is something your going to have to read to find out.

An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. She was going to college for criminal justice, go to the police academy, and was hoping to ride her BMX bike and skateboard between classes. When a BMX team comes to Cody's school, Cody has an eye on one of the guys. What Cody didn't know is that the same guy had an eye on her too. At the end of the show, Cody gets the guy's number and ends up hanging out with the crew before they leave. When they come back in the summer to see her, they teach Cody a whole bunch of new tricks on her BMX bike and she teaches them a few skateboard tricks. Cody and the guy, who she finds out is named Aaron, grow close, but of course, Aaron has to leave to perform more tricks at more schools. But Cody and Aaron stay in touch and Cody grows to miss Aaron more and more each day. Aaron comes back to see Cody and that's when Cody realizes she loves Aaron. She keeps it to herself for a while, telling no one. When Aaron gets a break from doing shows, he comes back to Cody and spends most of his break with her. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. Billie Hunter's life seemed perfect from the outside. Billie's mum had no clue what was going on in her house and Billie didn't feel like her mother had to know so Billie began making money in a business she didn't realise could earn her so much money, prostitution, that was until her mother found out and decided the best place for her daughter was boarding school, so off Billie went. Billie instantly clicked with her roommate Emily and they done everything together. Shortly after Billie meets an arrogant, vain and irresponsible bad ass and dislikes him but the more and more time she spends time with the school's biggest trouble maker she develops feelings and falls for his charm. Only to find out a few weeks later after it's too late to go back that his little sister also attends the school and happens to be Billie's new best friend.. He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" Lunch went by pretty quickly, and we were back to classes soon enough. I'd forgotten to get a book from my locker, so I quickly went to get it. I was leaning on the locker next to mine as I quickly scanned my schedule on my locker door, when warm air fanned the side of my face. "Move." Being the excellent human being I am, I jumped out of fright, flinging the heavy calculus textbook in my hand backwards. I heard a grunt and turned to find the person behind me now hunched over as they held onto a part of their face. "Oh God! I'm so sorry!" I panicked. And then he looked up. The first thing I noticed was his short, dark hair. It looked so smooth, and I almost reached out to play with it. My eyes trailed down to his strong jaw line, down to his broad shoulders. I didn't even realize that I was biting my lip as I further inspected the Adonis before me. His arm flexed, bringing my attention to the amber eye he was now covering. It was him. Six. The most popular and dangerous guy in school. And I'd managed to injure him with my calculus textbook. Note: I wrote this story 4/5 years ago. Decided to pick it up and edited it a bit recently. Nonetheless, the writing style is still pretty much how i wrote 4/5 years ago back when i just started. The writing isn't polished. I didn't really change much of the writing because I wanted to see how much I've improved (not that much to be honest) and also to preserve my old writings.
