Partrall, once the sworn enemy of Gardelle, has made a truce until everything is once again fixed. As Rohesia struggles with running her kingdom by herself now it is Elesen that stays home and helps her, while Amelia is sent away to seek help from the kingdom of Rufella and from Amelia's promised husband's family there.

The journey there is dangerous, and with Cyliaria and the demonic dragon still at loose, Luistia and Aritemes are sent to protect her. What they find in Rufella is much more than help--Secrets are unleashed and the world is once more placed in their hands.
